Environmental Information

We are committed to taking appropriate measures at all Smurfit-Stone facilities to protect the environment and natural resources.  We will accomplish this through responsible environmental management and compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local environmental laws and regulations, and by adhering to eight fundamental principles that provide the foundation for our environmental programs.  Our environmental report describes the actions we have taken and the results of each, as they relate to those principles.

Community Information

The Fernandina Beach Mill is a major financial contributor to the local Y.M.C.A. and our employees volunteer as coaches, mentors, committee members and workers on behalf of numerous civic and service agencies and programs throughout the region.  Our employees donate blood throughout the year to the Florida-Georgia Blood Alliance during blood drives.  In spite of its median size as an employer in Nassau County, the Fernandina Beach Mill has consistently made the largest contribution to the annual United Way campaign in support of the United Way of Northeast Florida.
