2007-08 Budget Ensures Continued Protection for Florida's Environment
Governor Charlie Crist signed the State's budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2007-08, increasing protection for Florida's natural resources and diversifying our energy resources.

Florida's Forest Products Industry contributes to 6.5% of manufacturing jobs and 6.7% of  manufacturing payroll.

  • * Paper & Allied Products = 14,318

Providing Top Salaries

The forest and paper industry is one of the most diverse and economically important industries in the United States.  Ranging from the state-of-the-art paper mills and some 9 million individual woodlot owners, the industry employs 1.7 million people while ranking among the top ten manufacturing employers in 42 states.

  • * Paper & Allied Products = 582,172
