The significance of the forest products industry in modern life is obvious to most.  No other industry segment plays a more meaningful role in every area of human activity.

The users and applications for paper and pulp products are vast.  Even today, new specialty products are continually being developed.  As never before, new technology and methodology is being adopted so that our industry can remain competitive in existing markets, receptive to new opportunities, and in balance with the environment.

As you will see, paper has evolved over the years from just a writing surface to a material that touches nearly every aspect of our lives. Although we frequently take it for granted, it's hard to imagine what our lives might be like without it.

Each person in the United States consumes approximately 675 pounds of paper a year. Where does it all go? You might be surprised at some of the answers...
